Personnel to get N5 million in event of death, disability 
Lagos State government on Friday announced a 150 per cent upward review of compensation for men of the Nigerian Police Force in the event of death or permanent disability.
The review, an initiative of governor Akinwunmi Ambode upon assumption of office, will henceforth make the policemen in the state entitle to the sum of N5m to N2, depending on their rank at the time of permanent disability or death.

How Four Policemen Tortured A Woman Over Stolen iPad

A trader in the Balogun Market, Lagos State, Karamat Eleha, has accused four policemen attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Lagos State Command, of torturing her for allegedly stealing an iPad. The device was said to be the property of a woman in the Ajah area of the state, who was robbed in May, 2015. The policemen, led by one Abiola (aka Abbey), had, while searching for the iPad, reportedly stormed a two-storey building in Idumagbo, Lagos Island, where Eleha lives with her mother. It was learnt that she was not at home when the search commenced.

JUNGLE JUSTICE! Angry Mob Kill Policeman In Gombe For Allegedly Killing A Man

A trigger-happy policeman in Gombe state has been lynched by an angry mob for allegedly killing a man. The exact cause of the squabble between the late man and the police officer is yet unknown. According to a twitter user who witnessed the mob action, angry youths who saw what happened immediately took the law into their hands by descending on the policeman, lynching him to death in the process before other law enforcement officers arrived at the scene.

Not Again! Gang Of Six Rape Two Sisters In Lagos

Two sisters, Essiet, 18, and 20-year-old Debby (not real names), have been raped by a gang of six men who accosted them in the Bariga area of Lagos State. PUNCH Metro learnt that the victims were returning from a hospital in the Oworonsoki area last Thursday when they were attacked by the suspects. It was learnt that while Essiet was deflowered by four men, her elder sister, Debby, was ravished by two of the hoodlums.
